A Little About Me

Updated: Nov 26

Hi! My name is Isaac.

I am the creator and owner operator of Carolina Junk Pros. 9 times out of 10, if you call or receive a correspondence from Carolina Junk Pros, I will be on the other side of it. A lot of businesses (especially service based) are removed and impersonal, so I wanted to use this blog as an opportunity to share a little about myself and the humble beginnings of our business.

I am a 24 year old South Carolina Native (Go Gamecocks!). I love music, reading, and good food. If you would have told me 5 years ago that I'd be running a junk removal company, I wouldn’t have believed you. Growing up, I wanted to be an architect and engineer (at least until I learned how much math was involved). It wasn’t until high school that I fell in love with entrepreneurship. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do - but I knew it involved business.

After graduating high school in 2019, I attended USC, where I was a real estate major at Darla Moore School of Business. While many aspects of school were fun and engaging, there was always the feeling that I should be DOING business instead of LEARNING about it. While education is important, it is not a necessity of success. After much careful consideration, I dropped out Junior year to start Carolina Junk Pros.

My philosophies for starting a successful business are 1) Do what people can't do, 2) don’t want to do, or 3) don’t know how to do. While junk removal is not rocket science, many people lack the physical ability or vehicular capacity to remove, haul, and dispose of junk (especially in large volumes). I saw the need in my market and settled on creating Carolina Junk Pros.

I distinctly remember our first job. It was a swing set removal on September 15th, 2021 in Northeast Columbia. After completing the job, I was elated. It was the proof of concept I needed to believe and trust in the crazy journey I was about to embark on. The last three years have not always been easy. There were plenty of ups and downs but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I have learned so much, met so many wonderful people, and experienced so much personal growth.

I have some exciting plans for the future of my business, and I hope that we can continue to serve our community for many years to come.
