Mattresses don't last forever. As we've all experienced, the time comes when you need to purchase or replace a mattress. In the US we buy 36 million mattresses a year. The EPA estimates that we throw away about half that many at 18 million mattresses each year. Whether your kid has outgrown their bed or you're treating yourself to a new deluxe mattress, let Carolina Junk Pros take care of all your box spring and mattress removal and recycling needs.

How Does Pickup Work:

  1. Call or text to discuss your needs.

  2. Let us know how many and what size mattress/ box spring you have.

  3. Accept the quote and pick a day that works for your schedule.

  4. On the day of we will arrive on time to remove and load up your unwanted furniture.

How Much Does Mattress Removal Cost?

Solitary mattress removal is one of our cheapest services. In fact, under the right conditions, we will even pick up a mattress at prices below our minimum job price. However, pricing is ultimately determined by factors such as quantity, item type, size, disassembly, and the overall complexity of the job. Whatever your needs, we aim to deliver efficient service that meets your needs while respecting your budget.

Recycle, don't waste!

Carolina Junk Pros prioritizes sustainability and community support. Unlike other companies, we do not trash everything. Unfortunately, nearly all donation centers and thrift stores do not take used mattresses. However, they will take adjacent accessories such as cribs and bed rails. Mattresses are taken to the county landfill where they can be responsibly recycled and disposed of.

How Are Mattresses Recycled?

Mattresses and box springs are split open and each layer is removed. All of the materials are then divided and arranged according to kind. The main product created with the recovered foam padding is carpet underlayment. Fabric and other fibers can be utilized to make industrial oil filters, furniture, and soundproofing applications. The metal springs and frames are recycled and turned into scrap metal to create new appliances and a variety of other goods. Wooden box spring frames are shredded and used for things like mulch and alternate fuel sources

Sadly only about 19% of matresses are actually recycled. That leaves tens of millions of mattresses that are not disposed of in the most eco-friendly way. Dispose with Carolina Junk Pros and help us make a difference.
